Kim Baumbach has supported The Greeley Dream Team for several years and decided to become a Dream Builder (monthly donor) in 2019. She has continued to support student success in education every single month since then. Kim’s dedication has helped countless students succeed, and we wanted to spotlight her today!

Who is Kim Baumbach?

Kim Baumbach serves as Small Group Consultant for Flood & Peterson in Greeley, a position she has held for over seven years. She first became involved with our program when she met with our Executive Director, Elizabeth Barber, for coffee. Elizabeth told her all about our annual Awards Banquet, where we honor our Dream Team Honors Scholars, and, according to Kim, “the rest, as they say, is history ….”

What inspired her to become a Dream Builder?

After Kim attended the Awards Banquet that Elizabeth invited her to, she knew she wanted to be more involved in Dream Team. Later that year, she became a Dream Builder at our Community of Champions … Turning Dreams into Reality Fall Breakfast.

“It was after attending my first Annual Awards Banquet. I knew I needed to participate in the successful outcomes of the Dream Team. I feel fortunate to play such a small role in the wonderful things the Dream Team is doing, the lives they touch, and the students impacted.”

What does she want others to know about Dream Team?

When we asked Kim to share what she wants others to know about her “why” and why she thinks others should support Dream Team as well, her answer was simple:

“First, anyone who is not familiar with the Dream Team needs to be educated on who you are and what you do. I would also want everyone to know that the students that are part of the Dream Team are truly amazing and inspirational! Dream Team scholars are not only exceptional students, they are ambitious, determined, and humble. The majority of these students are dual-enrolled, working part-time and finding the time to dedicate to their studies. They should also know that the counselors who work with these students are true mentors; they encourage them to be the best they can be and that nothing is out of reach, to aim for the stars, shoot for the moon, and that the world is theirs!”

Thank you, Kim, for your support of not only our programming but also our students as they follow their dreams and become leaders of tomorrow. Thank you for being a Dream Builder!
