Rhonda Solis, Community Representative

Rhonda Solis joined our Board of Directors in the fall of 2021! Rhonda is a former Greeley-Evans School District 6 Board of Education member, and she also works with the Latino Coalition of Weld County and runs a podcast entitled Latino Northern Colorado. Rhonda is an amazing representative of The Greeley Dream Team. We are thrilled to honor her in today’s Board Spotlight!

What is your favorite part of serving on the Board of Directors?

My favorite part of being on the Board is being a part of a great organization that makes a huge impact on students’ lives.

What influenced you to serve on the Board for the Dream Team?

As a former school board member, I have witnessed the work that the Dream Team has done working with students. I knew I wanted to continue helping kids, and this Board would be a great way to continue that work.

What does it mean to you (personally and/or professionally) to serve on the Board?

Personally, I was afraid to go to college and didn’t have the support or even know where to go for help. The Dream team staff has been instrumental in helping kids prepare and attend college. I’m so proud to be on a Board that works with students to help them achieve their dreams.

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

My favorite things to do in my free time are spending time with my family, friends, and fur babies and volunteering in my community.
