What are you up to now that you’ve earned your degree?
I am currently working as the bilingual Public Relations & Events Coordinator for ALLO Communications.
What’s the best thing that’s happened to you since being out of high school?
The best thing that has happened since being out of school was being a public speaker for the Habitat for Humanity annual breakfast banquet and traveling with my sister.
What is one thing you want to accomplish in the next three years?
In the next three years, I hope to continue growing in my career and gain more experience in my field. I also hope to travel to new countries.
What aspect of being in the Dream Team has stuck with you?
The fact that having a support system can make a huge impact on a student’s life has stuck with me. We all are capable of so much; we just need someone to believe in us.
What are your goals for the future, and what goals have you achieved?
My goals for the future are to see my three younger siblings achieve higher education, for me to attend grad school, and to become an active member in my community that creates a positive impact.
My biggest goals achieved thus far have been being the first one in my family to graduate from college, helping my younger siblings thrive in their academics, and evolving into a person my younger self would be proud of.
What is one of your best memories of being in the Dream Team?
One of my favorite memories from Dream Team has been the amazing Advisors; the love, support, and advice they provided helped me believe in myself throughout high school.
What is one piece of advice you would give a Dream Team student who has just graduated high school?
Don’t be too hard on yourself. At 18 years old, there is so much pressure with deciding what you want next in life and the goals that you have to achieve, but you need to remember everything is a working process. Life will guide you where you need to be; if you’re already putting in the work, know that it will pay off.
