Now that you have graduated, what are your plans?
I plan to take the fall semester off and attend UNC in the Spring of 2024.
What is a dream you would like to accomplish in the next three years?
A dream I would like to accomplish would be to graduate with my Bachelor’s Degree in the next three years.
What aspect of being in the Dream Team has stuck with you?
An aspect of being in Dream Team that has stuck with me is always having support throughout my different stages in life. I started in middle school and have continued to be part of the Dream Team. From the continuous checkups and the help with FASFA and just having someone helping me with the small and big things in life. It all has helped me become successful in my journey in college and overall life.
What are your goals for the future, and what goals have you achieved?
One goal that I have achieved that I am most proud of is graduating from college. I’m proud that I was given the opportunity to do college, and for that, I’m grateful. I’m showing my siblings that anything is possible, even when the odds seem against them, and making my parents proud.
My goals for the future are to be able to travel the world and do things I love. I would love to study abroad!
A short-term goal for me is to learn a new language.
What is one of your favorite memories of being in the Dream Team?
One of my favorite memories of being in Dream Team is when we went to Nebraska and got to spend the night at the dorms. We got to meet other Dream Team students, and we played games, went bowling, and had a cookout. Traveling to different colleges helped give me a feel for what college was like before I started attending.
What is one piece of advice you would give a Dream Team student who has just graduated high school?
I would tell them to never be afraid to ask for help and use the resources around them to help them succeed. Not knowing what you want in life is okay. You will find your purpose!
