Programs

Assistance through our many partnerships allows us to provide a variety of programs and services that support student success in school. Our programs include:

EDUCATIONAL TALENT SEARCH (ETS)

Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a federally funded pre-collegiate TRiO program that creates educational opportunities for low-income and/or first-generation students while providing access to higher education and assisting in the transition to college. ETS works with over 700 students, grades six thru twelve, in the Greeley-Evans School District 6 who have the drive to pursue a college education. Services include, but are not limited to, one-on-one academic advising, tutoring, career and college-based field trips, educational workshops, financial aid assistance, and college preparation.

DREAM TEAM AT BELLA ROMERO ACADEMY (OPERATION GRADUATION)

The Dream Team and Bella Romero Academy have partnered together to promote school success for Bella Romero students through the Operation Graduation Program.

This program serves sixth, seventh, and eigth grade students and provides them with an advisor to promote academic achievement, positive attendance, positive behavior results, community resources, and graduation completion. The advisor meets one-one-one with the students on a regular basis and collaborates with their parents to ensure student and program success.

DISCOVERY: THE PEER LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

This program is a partnership between The Greeley Dream Team, Jefferson High School, and the United Way of Weld County. Discovery is a series of classes: Discovery I, II, and III, which focus on academic success, social and emotional learning experiences, positive communication, leadership skills, personal and social responsibility, and team building.

Each student at Jefferson High School is required to complete the Discovery I course. This course teaches students the skills they need in order to be successful at school or work, to create positive learning experiences between teachers and peers, and to develop an atmosphere with a genuine sense of trust and respect towards themselves as well as others. A student who completes Discovery I may be nominated to move on through the series of Discovery classes in order to become a mediator amongst his or her peers.

JEFFERSON TEEN PARENT PROGRAM

The Greeley Dream Team, along with Greeley-Evans School District 6 and several other local agencies, have come together to support a licensed childcare center at Jefferson High School. Our organization provides program advocacy, financial resources, and support for teen parents to assist them with graduating and enrolling in a post-secondary institution.

Additionally, we facilitate the Teen Parent class at Jefferson, using an innovative approach to coordintae community partners to bring presentations and speakers to educate and inform the teen parents of various resources available to them.

DREAM TEAM HONORS SCHOLARSHIP

The Dream Team Honors Scholarship was established by a diverse cross-section of local citizens and community leaders to address a recognized need to close achievement gaps and increase graduation rates. We are pleased to say that in the last 15 years alone, we have provided over $379,500 in scholarships to 301 deserving students. Students must be part of the Educational Talent Search (ETS) program at either Greeley Central, Greeley West, Jefferson or Northridge high school and in their senior year to apply.

DREAM TEAM ALUMNI PROGRAM

The Greeley Dream Team Alumni Program is intended to help former Dream Team Students stay in touch with our organization so that we can continue to provide support through college, reconnect with other Dream Team highly ambitious and motivated students to help them along their intellectual and professional journey. Students may make valuable business contacts through The Greeley Dream Team Dream staff and former Educational Talent Search (ETS) Advisors.
