What aspect of being in the Dream Team has stuck with you? One aspect that has stuck with me while being a part of the Dream Team was how the Advisors would go the distance to make sure that students got all the help they needed. Advisors will do anything to support their students and give them all the resources they need to succeed. Over the years the Dream Team staff become more than just Advisors, they become mentors and friends. Then you begin to think . . . how would you have ever done it without them?

What are your goals for the future, and what goals have you achieved? My future goal is to graduate from UNC within 4 years. However, I also want to make sure I enjoy all of the aspects of the college experience. I have a goal of attending many UNC events, making new friends, and getting involved on campus. Being involved on campus will push me to try new things and get help me learn new skills to use after I graduate college.

What is one of your favorite memories of the Dream Team? One of my favorite memories of the Dream Team was the small celebration for the 2018 graduates towards the end of the year. It was a chance to see all of my classmates and friends that are also in Dream Team and celebrate our graduation together. It was also very neat that we had graduation cords that represented our involvement in the program and our journey through high school.

What is one piece of advice you would give a Dream Team student who has recently graduated high school? Sometimes life plans after high school are uncertain and honestly, it’s perfectly normal. If I was to give advice to a fellow Dream Team Student that has recently graduated high school I would say nothing is written in stone and it is okay if your plans change. Find a life path that you are passionate about even if it takes some time to figure it out. One thing that you will notice on campus is that there is a wide range of people of different ages, backgrounds, and all pursuing different passions. Find an educational path that is interesting and challenging and something that you can see having a positive impact on your future.
