About: Come watch live street performers, fire spinners, balloon artists, and listen to live music on 9th Street Plaza in Downtown Greeley! There will also be arts and crafts, face painting, sidewalk chalk, and plenty of opportunities for food and snacks!


High Plains Library District Summer Reading Adventure

About: Register to participate in the summer reading challenge and then participate in and earn badges for attending events and completing activities!


Kids Bowl Free at Chipper’s Lanes
Date(s): April 22 – September 30
Cost: FREE for two games
About: Stop by Chipper’s Lanes in Greeley this summer to play two free games of bowling for kids 18 and under! Make sure to sign up for a parent account first.


The Greeley Stampede
Date(s): June 26 – July 7
Cost: Varies | Parking is $10 and admission is FREE for those 5 and under, $2 for ages 6-12, $5 for ages 13-60, and $2 for ages 61+. Concert tickets will be $30+.
About: Stop by for the rodeo, carnival, petting zoo, live music performances, and much more! Live music performances are from REO Speedwagon, Brett Eldredge, Kip Moore, Cody Johnson, Brothers Osborne, Eli Young Band, and FOR KING & COUNTRY.


Greeley Arts Picnic
Date(s): July 27 – July 28
Cost: FREE entry
About: Listen to live music, visit booths with art for sale, participate in kids craft activities, and grab some food!


Greeley Recreation Center Summer Camps
About: Several different camps are offered to children and teens in Greeley during the summer! The full list can be found on their website above, and here are two inexpensive examples!

  • Kids and Horses
    • Date(s): Tuesdays in July
    • Cost: $20
    • About: Children and their parents will get to interact with and learn about horses every Tuesday in July.
  • STEM Summer Scholars Program
    • Date(s): May 29 – July 6 from 9:00 AM – Noon
    • Cost: FREE
    • About: Children ages 11-14 can attend field trips through the Rodarte Center to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math to improve their problem-solving skills.

Neighborhood Nights
Date(s): Friday nights in July from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Cost: FREE (low-cost food for those over 18)
About: Come watch a movie in the park for Free! Greeley-Evans School District 6’s El Fuego Food Truck will provide free snacks and dinners for kids 18 and under and for a low price for those over 18 form 6-8! There will also be summer fun games starting at 7! For more information on what movies are showing, check out their website.

  • Build a Tow Truck at Home Depot
    • Date(s) July 6th from 9:00 AM – Noon
    • Cost: FREE
    • About: Take your child to Home Depot to build their very own tow truck! Once it is built, they can decorate it with paint and stickers! Afterward, they’ll get a certificate, an apron, and a pin!
  • JCPenney’s Kid Zone Crafts
    • Dates: June 8, July 13, and August 10 from 10:00 AM – Noon
    • Cost: FREE
    • About: JCPenney’s in the Greeley Mall offers free art classes every month! After their fun projects, kids have the chance to earn a Project Master Medallion!

Whether or not you are able to attend any of these events, have an amazing and safe summer! Enjoy your time off, and soak up the sun before school kicks off again in the fall! Even though our advisors are out of school for the summer, our administrative staff will be in the main office from 8 AM – 5 PM Monday through Thursday!
